ARRL East Bay Section

New East Bay Section Assistant Manager for Youth Activities

Posted by af6aq on April 3rd, 2010

It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Ryan Lee, K3SFG, as the new Assistant Section Manager for Youth Activities for the ARRL East Bay Section. Ryan is from Fremont, 14 years old, in the eighth grade, and one of the founders of the new Youth Net that will start on April 10 on the N6NFI Repeater. He looks forward to getting more kids and teens involved in Amateur Radio and working with others who share the same goal. Besides radio, Ryan has many other hobbies and activities. He is a huge Giants fan (K3 San Francisco Giants) and baseball collector. Ryan usually displays some of his collectibles at the Alameda County Fair. He not only watches baseball, he plays little league too and is in his sixth season. Ryan has also been playing the piano for about six years. There is a lot that will hopefully happen for the youth of Ham Radio, especially with PACIFICON in October.

Please join me in welcoming Ryan to the East Bay Section Leadership Team. I encourage you to take advantage of Ryan’s interest in, and enthusiasm for, encouraging youth participation in our great hobby and service.
