GET ON THE AIR Class!
November 2009
Presented by:
Amateur Radio Club of
What now?
You have your new license, or soon will, and now there are more questions than ever. What type of radio should I buy? What can I do with the radio? How do I use the radio? How do I participate in a net? These are some of the many questions that new Hams have.
Got an evening to spare? Then seize the opportunity and attend this popular hands on class free of charge.
You will learn about use of the VHF and UHF bands, what to look for in buying a radio (if you don’t already have one), and how to use a repeater. Learn by doing! The hands on part of the class deals with how to set up a radio for repeater operation, how to call into a net and how to call your friend.
Want to know more? Attend the follow up advanced class in early December – it’s free too.
When? Monday November 16th 2009, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Where?
How much? Class is free
